Best Answer - Chosen by Asker: Hell no!. This country was built on the backs of slaves!. First it was an agricultural nation before it turned to industrial and slave labor was what ran it!. Www@QuestionHome@Com Yes it would rich!. Slavery helped promote free labor which of course increased good but slavery is nothing new!. Without it, we still proved to do well under the right leadership and proper tax brackets!. However, blacks weren't the first to be enslaved nor will they be the last!. Www@QuestionHome@Com yep, the north brought in alot of the wealth before slavery ended, and most of the wealth was acquired past the civil war!. The cost of the Civil war probably cancelled out the money the slaves had made before the war!.Www@QuestionHome@Com Yes, American would still be rich - we would have done fine without slaves!.
