Well, the two men established two strong industries!. Rockefeller founded the famous Standard Oil and dominated the oil industry of the US for many years!. Carnegie began Carnegie Steel and dominated the steel industry until he sold his company to US Steel!.

Both revolutionized the American industry during the era of Industrial Revolution & the Gilded Age!. The tactics they used to stay on top were not the nicest, but they were ably to monopolize their respective industries and got RICH RICH RICH!

Both are also famous for philanthropy!. Both, including the famous Rockefeller famly and Andrew Carnegie himself, give a LOT of money to do public services!. For example - Rockefeller Center in NYC is the United Nations HQ and Carnegie Hall is a very famous music conservatory!.
