Conquests and invasions by outsiders (like different nomad groups, Alexander of Macedonia, the Persians, The Vedic peoples or the Mycenaeans) were very destructive to the civilizations of Egypt, Mesopotamia and India, but they also stimulated cultural exchanges and trade!. What a lovely question!

1) The conquest of India by Britain!. Much Indian influence on present-day Britain has resulted, including the benefits of British Indians' work and success ethics and the growing influence of Indian spiritual masters such as Prabhupada (Hare Krishna), Yogananda and Sathya Sai Baba!.

2) The Arab conquest of Jerusalem, N Africa and Spain in the 600s and 700s and of Crete and Sicily in the early 800s!. Both cultures, however reluctantly, learned from each other!.Www@QuestionHome@Com
