hey!!! it is a joke isn't it!? B is for before, so how people of earlier years could produce a coin knowing that it was 17 BC!? This coin is a fake!. Www@QuestionHome@Com

No one used the BC system until a couple of centuries AD!. If a coin was really made in 17BC and had that date on it, the man who minted it would be the greatest predictor of the future who ever lived by far!. That did not happen though!. If a coin says 17BC, it was made much later!.Www@QuestionHome@Com

Aside from the fact is says BC on it, which everyone picked up on, it also says 17!. The Arabic numeral system didn't exist at that time!.Www@QuestionHome@Com

Because if the coin was actually minted in 17BC that's not how they would date it!.

The gregorian calendar didn't exist until 1582, before that there was no BC or AD!.Www@QuestionHome@Com

They wouldn't have known it was 17 BC!.
The first Ad date on a coin is about 1250!.
The first Arabic date is 1474!.Www@QuestionHome@Com

Obviously, no one knew in 17BC that Christ was going to be born in 17 years!. Www@QuestionHome@Com

I would bite it!. If it is fake, tooth marks will be apparent!. Www@QuestionHome@Com

because they didn't call it BC in BC!.Www@QuestionHome@Com
