I know Elizabeth, once married to Edward, started promoting her own relatives, giving them positions of power that Warwick wanted for himself and his retainers as reward for loyalty!. Plus you've already pointed out the failed negotiations with the French, which REALLY ticked Warwick off!. The marriage to Elizabeth was Edward really showing some independance, which up to that point he hadn't really, he had been under Warwick's control, to a point!. And with the strong-headed and ever-so-slightly obnoxious Woodville clan taking control of offices and land all over the country, Warwick was forced to take a back seat, somthing he had never had to do with Edward!.Www@QuestionHome@Com
