Question: Why didn't Columbus take South and North America!?
Best Answer - Chosen by Asker:
He traveled to the Caribbean with a few wooden ships!. North and South America, taken together, are 75% as large as Asia! If you have any sense of what that scale means, you should understand!. Www@QuestionHome@Com

Columbus never took anything!. He just landed in a place he didn't know, he didn't even know it was a continent!. The conquistadors only took South America because they didn't know North America was there!. They hadn't studied the Vinlandsaga, nor did they travel so far North!. Besides, they were facing plenty of trouble back home, so they couldn't expand or explore too much of America!. Www@QuestionHome@Com
