I assume you are referring to the transcontinental railroad!. Both the Union Pacific and the Central Pacific Railroads were financed by government land grants and corporate bonds!. There was unbelievable graft and corruption, but the principal men involved became unbelievably rich!.Www@QuestionHome@Com
