the USA did not join WWII to help the UK!.
americans dont hate british people as a rule, im sure some do, just as i imagine some british people hate americans, but they are small minded individuals!.

british and american people generally get on well, shared culture/language/history and all the rest of it makes it only natural!.
the fact that both countries are each others biggest allies and contribute to each others economies massively can only help too!.

It was the other way around!. With the lend lease program, we supplied them with tanks, and other war related materials in exchange for tangible assets, one example is land for future bases in Europe!. We were not paid in cash, because Europe had not financially recovered from the devastation of WW I!. It was an effort to help the British stop Hitler so the US would not be pulled into yet another European war!. In the pre-war era the United States gained the title of the "Arsenal for Democracy" because the US transformed it's manufacturing plants from cars to tanks, airplanes, and ships!. The attack on Pearl Harbor by the Japanese, not Europe or Hitler, pulled us into the war when American soil was attacked!. If America had not been attacked, it is presumed that the US may not have entered a Euro war unless our national security was at risk!. In fact, America and Britain along with France were part of what is known as the Allied Forces that won WW II and currently are a part of NATO which is a strong political alliance!. I don't think Americans hate the British!. I've been one for 32 years, and I've only heard it from IRA supporters, which does not represent the majority of Americans!.

Your cousin is making things up!. also, it is much more likely that Brits hate Americans, percentage wise!. Every one I've met complains about this place, and how stupid and wasteful we are!. I can only speak for myself, but I LIKE our freinds in the UK most of our ansestors came from there!.!.!.I suppose it is kind of like my brother, and myself!.!.when we were kids, we would fight, argue all the time!.!.!.but if he were threatened by anyone else!.!.I would come running!.
