Question: Pros and Cons of Nova Scotia Joining Confederation!?

Hey, i am doing a project for History class and my teacher chose Nova Scotia!. The project is a newspaper with 5 articles and one of them is an "editors view of confederation"!. Does anyone know why they wanted to join this union!? (economically,politically,socially etc!.)Www@QuestionHome@Com

PROS:
Fenians!. The Fenians-Irish Americans who were upset because British took over their land therfore They invaded Canada's border!. People along the border lived in fear!. And if confederation happened canada will be stronger

2!.a railway would join all the colonies together and would make trad A LOT easier

3!.canada would have more resources

4!.it would end the political dead locks

Cons:
1!. nova scotia could easily trade over seas and didnt neccisarily need a railway!.

2!.they didnt like all the other colonies

3!.they wouldnt have much say in what goes on in canada since they are so small
