Sisyphus was an ancient Greek King who violated the laws of hospitality by killing tourists, guests, and travellers!. He was considered the sneakiest of men!.

Sisyphus betrayed the secrets of Zeus!. Sisyphus told a river God that Zeus had kidnapped his daughter!. Sisyphus was out of line for putting himself in the same level as a God!.

So Zeus and the other Gods punished Sisyphus by condemning him to roll a large boulder up to the point of a steep mountain, only to have it fall and roll back down where Sisyphus had to roll it back up all over again - for all eternity!.Www@QuestionHome@Com

A huge rock that was about to fall on him any second!. That was his punishment, in Hades!. So whenever we talk about someone in fear of impending doom, we talk about Sisyphus!.Www@QuestionHome@Com
