and no, he was definitely not a christian!. he basically tried to replace god in germany - children were basically taught to pray to him, and all churches that didnt do what the state told them to do - say what the nazis wanted them to say, have pictures of hitler and swastikas displayed etc - were closed down!.

Hitler was a Roman Catholic!. How seriously he took this in his later life
is a subject of legitimate debate!.

Hitler also flirted with aspects of Paganism, but this was often used to
bolster the pseudo-history of the Nordic Aryan race, so these beliefs
could have been simple political expediency!.

Hitler appears to have held many of his positions merely because they
were the antithesis of the foe he was fighting at the time!. So when he
focused on Jews and the godless Soviets he played up Christianity!.
When confronting the West, he resorted to a quasi-nationalistic Paganism that the German people could rally around!.

What he truly believed only he could say!.

But to those Christians who would disown him because of his actions,

In my opinion Hitler was as far from a Christian as possible!. He espoused Darwinism!. He did pander to Catholics, but I don't think he believed in God!. In fact he demanded that people worship Hitler as God, so I don't see how that can be Christian!. You will know Christians by their love, not by their mass genocide!.Www@QuestionHome@Com

Christianity is a religion, therefore a choice!. I believe the ten commandments are in play for christianity!. One of which being though shalt not kill if i remember correctly!. so he may have chosen to be a christian, but if he did he did a bad job and is in hell!.
