The British had a more naval based war strategy!. They had the best naval warfare of their time!. While the Americans had a harder time!. The Americans had to use non-traditional warfare tactics!. They used a hit and run tactic!. The Americans were not an organized milita!.
However, they both used decietful ideas!. Such as blocking off the route the British used to deliver supplies to the army!. They both had quite basic propositions of how to win this so called "war"!. The British cocky as they were thought it would be easy so they used their soldiers that were not the "sharpest tools in the shed"!. The Americans in contrast used an all out "use all we've got" tactic!. The he pre-war assessment had a great impact of the outcome of the war!. The British thought it would be a battle that would be easily won!. The Americans thought that they never had a chance to win!. But the Americans had nothing to lose since they all would have been killed or enslaved (off-shore jails)!. The Battle of Saratoga gave the Americans a new found hope!. At the same time, the British were now realizing that this would not be such an easy war to win!.

Thats all I've got!.
Sorry!. Hope it helps!.Www@QuestionHome@Com
