Question: American Revolution!?!?!?!?!?!?!?!?!?!?!?
To what extent is it accurate to call the American Revolution a "civil war"!?!?Www@QuestionHome@Com

Well, that actually wouldn't be completely off base!. America was a colony of England!. Therefore, they were fighting with their leaders, and thus fighting with themselves!. also, loyalties were split WITHIN America, giving a further sense of a "civil war!."

America was seceding from England, which can be compared to the south attempting to secede from the United States in the American civil war!. While slavery was a big part of the American civil war, another big part was that 11 southern states wanted to secede from the the United States, which is pretty much the same as Colonial America wanting to secede from England!.

Hope that helps!

P!.S!. In the future, please refrain from using excessive amounts of question marks!. Thanks!Www@QuestionHome@Com

If the colonists had been more clearly divided in their loyalties then perhaps it could more easily have been recognized as a civil war!. But by and large the colonists were all on the same sheet of music, making it more of an out and out revolt!.Www@QuestionHome@Com
