Best Answer - Chosen by Asker:
London suffered over 20,000 civilian casualties and more than one million houses damaged or destroyed and was bombed on 76 consecutive nights with one night off because of fog!. Because the Blitz in London targetted the industrial docks in the East End and the City it had a lesser effect on the western parts of London!.

Are you talking specifically about the buzz bombs, or about the Battle of Britain!?

If you are talking about the entirety of WWII, and take the size of the city into account, my guess would be Coventry!.
This was an especially tragic event!. The German code had been broken,
and it was known that Coventry would be the target for that night!.
However, the RAF could neither send extra fighters to protect the city, nor could the city be evacuated, because then the Germans would know that their code had been broken!.Www@QuestionHome@Com

I would say coventry London was damaged but at the end of the war Millions of people were still living in London and by summer of 1948 held the Olympic Games

i lived in Fulham and most of the streets pre war were still standing
