Question: I was wondering if people around the world learn American History like we learn theirs!?
I was doing my AP US History Outline (yes, please do not call Americans stupid, I am a sophomore in high school and I am excelling in a college level course) and it mentioned the French Revolution a number of times while talking about our own!. I remembered last year in Global Studies Honors learning in depth the French Revolution!. Then, the question started to plague me: Since the French and Europeans in general apparently despise us, do they learn about our history in school like we learn theirs!?

I enjoy watching the British automotive TV show called Top Gear as I am obsessed with cars, and I notice that the show's hosts Jeremy Clarkson, James May, and Richard Hammond knock America whenever they get a chance!. Granted, our cars aren't that good, and as this is a car show, knocking our cars would be acceptable right!? Sure, but they do not stop there!. They mocked our tanks, when they came here they judged all of us on what the idiotic southerners did (although I probably would have done the same thing)!.

It seems to me like the British really hate us if they use a car program to make fun of us!. Has Europe become that petty!? Whenever I play Xbox Live, there are always British kids making fun of me because I'm American!.

Sorry if I went off on a tangent, but I will return to what's pertinent!. Since they obviously hate us this much, do they even learn our history in school!? Because I can assure you, since Kindergarden, I have had about 4 years of History devoted to Global History!. And during those years, there was nothing about America even taught!. I need to get back to my homework now lol but answer please!.Www@QuestionHome@Com

I don't really believe that everyone in Europe hates us!. The problem is that all they see and hear about America is about politics, the war, and our failing economy, sort of like most of my school thinks that everyone in the middle east is anti-America, while most of them are innocent civilians whose lives have been destroyed by war!. I am going to the National Young Leaders Conference in Washington D!.C!. in the spring and I am going to Europe next summer as a student ambassador!. I'm taking college courses and I'm a sophomore too! I think that we represent ourselves and our country as a new generation of thinkers by making the effort to understand eachother's culture and lifestyle!.Www@QuestionHome@Com
