Question: Homework, please help!!?

Does anyone else see a problem with the fact that many of the questions posted to this section are nothing more than middle and high school students trying to get other people to do their homework for them!?

Dear students;
Getting other people to do your homework for you is called cheating!. Maybe if people actually took the time to read their textbooks and do their homework, our nation would not have the problems it does today!. If I were a teacher I would sure as hell be out on this site, attempting to track down my students!.Www@QuestionHome@Com

Well maybe they are, but don't rip on all!. Were just trying to get help from other people, although i do hate it when they just list the problems and let other people do them!. *Ugh, so annoying* Good Point there :)

I found this question - and the responses really interesting!. I just saw a list of around 20 terms - the person wanted definitions!. Now - typing in all that list - wouldn't googling "define ___________" have been easier!? It sounds like a con game by someone who's his own worst enemy!. Cheating took more effort than it was worth!.

When someone asks how, or in some manner it appears an assist in process would help, I check to see if I know an answer!.

I don't think anyone needs to worry about being stalked by a teacher here!. Generally speaking, it's so very obvious when someone cheats!. Asked the same question in real time, the eyes glaze over, the mouth goes slack - or there's just a full-faced smile, on the confirmed liar!. It just isn't that difficult to detect, and teachers really don't have time to get that wierd!.

The really sad part is that the person not doing the work is the one who is losing out!. That student gets to become an expert in sloughing, ducking, avoiding!. What does that person do in life!?

It's not cheating to get help on your homework!. I would encourage parents to help their kids with their work; the same goes for peers in study groups!. As long as the answerer shows how they arrived at the answer, it is beneficial to the student!. Sometimes you pull your hair out trying to get that last math question and you just can't do it, so you ask someone who does!. Common sense!.Www@QuestionHome@Com

I definitely agree!. For me, if they only ask one simple question or if they have been looking for the answer and show what research they have done, then I will answer it!. But some people ask 10 - 20 questions at a time and it is so apparent that they are cheating on their schoolwork and that's where it starts to get insane and they need to start doing their own work!. The other reason why kids are so stupid in America is because they ask their parents for help and their parents are just as dumb as them and can't answer the questions either!.Www@QuestionHome@Com

I myself am in high school, and I have been struggling with a worksheet all night!.

I came here to see if someone could help me with one problem, not the whole worksheet, just so I could see how to figure out the rest of the problems!.

i just wanted to say that not all of the students are asking for people to do their homework!.!. sometime you just need a little help because you're stuck and cant figure it out!.!. so i wouldnt say that its wrong for them to be asking because isnt that what this site is for!.!.!. for people to ask others for help on something when they dont know the answer!?!?!?Www@QuestionHome@Com

Tracking down students is rather stalkerish, I'm pretty sure a teacher would get in trouble for that!.

You're overreacting a tad, most of the students who ask for homework help actually need help!.

There's actually homework section in yahoo answer!. It can be good discussion forum, but also just quick answer grab!. But lot of homework answer can be found just googling too if its just some trivial history, social, gov craps!. So nothing particularly bad about yahoo answer as homework aid or cheat!. It is cheating, and when its obvious that someone isn't trying to do their own homework by the questions, its sickening!. I think its acceptable if someone is genuinely trying to find the answers they need and get stumped and then ask on here!. Www@QuestionHome@Com
