Question: What's one of the top ten things you need to know about the aftermath of the Hiroshima and Nagasaki bombings!?
I'm doing an English project about the aftermath of the Hiroshima and Nagasaki bombings!. I need to make a top ten list and write a couple paragraphs about each one of the top ten points!. So far I have nine but I need one more!. Here are my nine so there's no repeats -
1!. The Hiroshima bombings
2!. The Nagasaki bombings
3!. The Bombs Effects to the Body
4!. The Hibakusha Stories
5!. Death Counts
6!. The Good the bomb did
7!. The Reconstruction of the Cities
8!. Relief Measure after the Bomb Hit
9!. The Nuclear Debates the Bombing Started

If I could get the answer today that would be great because I'm all the way done except for this part and it's due tomorrow!. Thanks!Www@QuestionHome@Com

I was going to say the bombings ended the war and saved many times more lives than they took, but I assume you've got that covered in #6!. That's really a pretty big topic, once you start thinking about it; you may be able to split it into 2!.

How about the continuing effect on Japanese politics and culture!? Committedly pacifist in their Constitution, still very isolationist, etc!.

There's a great connection to be made with Japan's traditional ambivalent attitude toward nature, great respect but also great fear, down deep--as you might expect in a land subject to earthquakes, volcanoes, typhoons, and floods!. This is one why reason why Godzilla struck such a chord in Japanese pop culture, believe it or not--there are many lines in several of the movies referring to Godzilla as a force of nature, who cannot be stopped, only dealt with and moved on from!. Godzilla specifically relates to the nuclear angle, but the whole natural world: thus the Japanese fondness for bansai gardening -especially pine trees- and the Zen gardens, which take a tidy little fold of nature and tame it so it retains the beauty of nature without the inherent destructiveness!. I think you could make quite a bit of that, if you're not afraid to talk about Godzilla in a serious essay!Www@QuestionHome@Com
