Ancient History would probably be the most interesting, but Modern would also be fun!. I suggest the following:

Ancient:

- Hannibal Barca, Carthaginian General during the Punic Wars, who led war elephants, troops and cavalry across the Italian alps to crush Rome!. He was almost successful, defeating an 80,000 strong Roman legion at Cannae!.

- The First Crusade in the Middle Ages, 1095!. There's a lot of great points you can use to distinguish between Christendom and the Muslims!. Look at the major confrontations, effects it had on Europe and reasoning behind it!.

- I highly recommend 'The 100 years war', fought between France and England from 1337-1453!. This war was on and off, with three huge conflicts, Plessy,Crecy and Agincourt!.

- Alexander the Great and his expansion of Greek culture, attitudes, values and beliefs!. This man and his loyal army conquered vast lands for Greece approximately 330 BC!.

Modern:

- Aparthieid in South Africa doesn't sound very appealing but I enjoyed it when I was studying!.

- General Washington during the American revolution, who opposed the British colonial forces and inspired them to triumph, later becoming President of the United States!.

- The Vietnam War, Nazi Germany or world war I!. They are common topics, but they all have a lot of elements to investigate!.

- Civil war in China between the Guomindang and Chinese Communist Party!. Both political groups fought for control in the early 1900s!.

Well there's some ideas, glad to help!.Www@QuestionHome@Com
