Best Answer - Chosen by Asker:
Probably both of the ones you mentioned!. Those who saw American Indians in battle astride their horses, shooting ten arrows under the horses neck for every bullet fired by U!.S!. troops, stated they felt these warriors were the finest light cavalry the world had ever seen!.

The fact that Genghis Khan and his Mongols dominated more of the known world than any conqueror in world history, and that the Mongol horse culture in all its glory remains effectively unchanged a millenium later, speaks very well of their horsemanship indeed!. They regularly annihilated far more armored and heavily armed knights, and did it by maintaining no quartermaster, making their men self-reliant, and absorbing new cultures into their own at every battle!. But most of all, they did it with an incredibly adept light cavalry concept that started - as it still does today - teaching a Mongol child to begin riding even before they can walk!. The effectiveness of their bows and mounts were legendary!. And they had the first trans-continental "pony express" 700 years before the U!.S!. had even considered the idea!. Www@QuestionHome@Com

The Mongols is a good answer, but I 'm going to go with the Parthians!. They were famed throughout the ancient world for their riding skill, and perfected a backwards bow shot that gave the Romans trouble for centuries!.Www@QuestionHome@Com

The Mongols because of their superb tactics and organisation!.Www@QuestionHome@Com

The Spaniards!. They brought horses to America!.Www@QuestionHome@Com

The Mongols, undoubtedly!. I would rate the Huns as second!.Www@QuestionHome@Com
