The question boils down to compromises which shaped the issues of the presidency and representation in congress in the Constitution!.

I'm just going to thumbnail them!.!.!.you'll have to do a little leg work that is available in any standard High School history book

1) The presidency: was our head of government going to be a monarch, a prime minister, a figurehead, etc!. Was it going to be hereditary, elected, chosen, etc!.

2) representation in congress: By state!? by population!? what about the slaves!? who could vote!? how long were their terms!?

I hope this helps you get started!.Www@QuestionHome@Com

If this is a stumper, maybe you should drop AP history!.

Everything you need is pretty much in the Constitution!. Here's the Wiki link: http://en!.wikipedia!.org/wiki/United_Stat!.!.!.

Presidency: Must be electd by majority of electors; Pres and VP have to be from different states; (added by amendment) term limits; veto cn be ovrridden!.

Congress: All states, regardless of size, get 2 seats in Senate; seats in House determind by size, but each state gets at least 1!. (now obsolete) slave were counted as 3/5 in determining number of state reps in House; members of Congress immune from arrest while on congressional business or travelling to/from congress!.Www@QuestionHome@Com
