In 1936, the FS was prohibited by the Nazi regime!. leaders of the lodge emigrated in order to avoid imprisonment!. I guess Grau was not amongst them so he was imprisoned maybe also he was either a socialist or a communist and those were killed by the Nazis too!. I am quite sure he was not Polish, he was born in Germany for sure!. You can ask here more:
