I'd like a specific event with justification as to why you're choosing it!. I'll award the 10 points to the person with the most compelling argument, regardless of whether or not I agree!.Www@QuestionHome@Com

I'd say slavery!. Slavery has been practised for thousands of years, resulting in the misery, suffering and death of untold numbers of people - certainly numbering in the hundreds of millions!.

As an extension of that, slavery is an offshoot of humanity's simple inability to treat other people with respect - if I'm stronger than you, I'll stick you in chains and work you till you die!. I don't care - I'm all right!. It's that extraordinary ability to be completely detached from the suffering of other people for our own benefit that is probably why many of histories other tragedies have occurred!.

By the way, I know it's not a specific event, but it's a specific activity soooo!.!.!. close enough!Www@QuestionHome@Com

Wow, Holocaust is a great answer & argument!.

I'm gonna have to add Native Americans!. The U!.S!. decided this race of people (like the Jews) were less than worthy of anything!. Native Americans were also murdered, imprisoned, used as slaves, given disease's, & thrown off of THEIR land to be moved onto reservations which is where they still live today!.

When I think about how the Native Americans were treated, it really pisses me off!. There is no justification to make up for what was done to them!

Kudos to Patrick Q!.!.!.!.!.!.!.!.!.!.!.!.awesome answer & nothing but the truth!!!!!Www@QuestionHome@Com

That's a very subjective question!. Possibly the european battlefronts of world war one, in which thousands of young men were shot down by a new invention; the machine gun!. over and over the officers of both sides slaughtered 17 year old boys by the hundred thousands just to take a couple of miles from the other sides!.Www@QuestionHome@Com

the eradication of the native peoples of america!. the government of the US systematically destroyed whole tribes!. the trail of tears, where indians of different tribes, nations were forced to intermingle, and marched to barren land!. the destruction of the plains & southwest indian food supply--the buffalo!. not recognizing as "indian" anyone who didn't register on either of the official roles: knowing that many indians
didn't trust the US and would not register!. calling the remaining indian
nations Sovereign, yet making them get permission from the state & feds to do anything!.Www@QuestionHome@Com
