Archaeology is the study of past human life and cultures!. Archaeologists study artifacts - things made by people!. Sometimes we don't have written records of past activity in many ancient cultures!. When that is the case, a scientist will look at and study the tools, weapons, jewelry, pottery, etc!. to come up with a description of past cultures!. The discovery of the ancient cities Herculaneum and Pompeii as well as the discovery of the Rosetta Stone are examples of archaeologists doing their job!.Www@QuestionHome@Com
