For achievements- Jackson forced the French government to pay long-overdue spoliation claims and reopened the British West Indian trade!.

Following the Treaty of Ghent (1814) the United States turns westward and virtually ignores England and Europe until 1914 and the outbreak of WW I!. Therefore from Madison to Wilson America has very little foreign policy issues with the exception of border disputes with Mexico and Canada!.Www@QuestionHome@Com
