At the risk of going at it at too high a level, can I give you a little info!? Do with it as you will!.

When you talk about taxation without representation, the argument was over the cost and paying for the French and Indian/Seven Year's War, which only benefitted the colonists and was started by George Washington (when he attacked a French fort in the Ohio River Valley -- where he was not supposed to be in accordance with the Proclamation of 1763)!. The colonies were getting seriously over crowded because there were no policies in place controlling the number of people who could move here from England!. The colonists wanted a local representative government and an equal voice with the crown!. They had no representation in Parliament!. The government back in Britain said "No!." They had the House of Burgesses but that was not representative of the people, only the crown!.

When Jefferson wrote the Declaration of Independence, the "freedom" of which he spoke was actually money (taxation) Those who have money have more choices!. Those who have little or no money are enslaved to their creditors!. At the time of the Revolution, the colonies had an economy that had well out paced that of England!. Over the 100 years prior to the revolt, the economy in the colonies had grown by 1000 %!. The colonists were now supporting England financially, and not the other way around!. Freedom!.

What you've writen is pretty good!. I suspect you will do well!. Good luck!. Www@QuestionHome@Com

I can't help you make this better without knowing in which grade you are!.!.!.!. but I will correct some of the grammatical issues and have adjusted some things for style Hope it works for you:

Life, liberty, and the pursuit of happiness… these mean nothing to those who lack and do not aspire for them, but we can have them!. But, do we desire them!? Now is the time to make the choice: aren’t individual rights worth the fight!? Did our forefathers struggle to cross the great sea so that we would be caught still under the oppressive hand that caused their journey!? God forbid! They would embrace liberty!. They would expect us to be free to live as we want and free to pursue happiness!. They would say that life without freedom is not life but death!. Death has no freedom!. Are we dead!? Under the tyranny of Great Britain we will not have our freedom; we will not have our happiness!. Under Great Britain we are dead!. We have not been treated as citizens who get representation, but as animals!. We give our blood, our energy, and our taxes to help the crown with no say in our daily activities!. Our families forced to share cramped quarters and to eat meagerly because we must give rooms and food to the very soldiers who oppress us!. These rooms which we have built with our own weary hands serve as dens for soldiers! No compensation!. Are we not entitled to our basic human rights!? Do we not pay the dues of citizens of the crown!? Why then are we not bestowed with the rights of other citizens!? Why no trial by jury in foreign countries!? Why no representation!? Now is the time to make a change!. It is up to us: Independence or tyranny!? Happiness or misery!? Life or death!? What will you choose!?Www@QuestionHome@Com
