I seem to recall reading something once to the effect that she was taken in by someone who educated her and she eventually concealed her gender to enter the priesthood!. Eventually elected Pope, but then was "outed" and killed!. One version I saw had it that she was found out because she delivered a baby!. (Seems they weren't too thrilled by that!.) One person here says the story was fabricated!. Maybe!. Maybe not!. I don't know!. Hope this helps!.

Oh: Try your library!. Maybe you can find some kind of credible journal article on the subject!. That would probably be your best source!. Watch the internet, especially with a story like this!. A lot of people are going to have an agenda with this topic!. Www@QuestionHome@Com
