Question: Will history look back at the marriage between politics and religion as destructive!?
Best Answer - Chosen by Asker:
The connection between religion and politics has always been there, but what is evil is when religious leaders tell laic leaders what to do and the lay leaders do it! All of the founding fathers came from countries where religious figures (Bishops, priests, pope, etc) had told the kings what to do!. The founding fathers, in their wisdom, addressed that (no official state religion) before they addressed practice!. They guaranteed freedom FROM religion, before they address freedom OF religion!

PLEASE read the Bill of Rights below!. They are NOT archaic ideas of yeterday, as Bush has been treating them!. They are the very soul of Constitutional democracy!.Www@QuestionHome@Com

There's good politics and there's bad politics!. There's good religion and there's bad religion!. In general, I see the divorce between politics and religion to be more destructive!.

But most in history won't see it that way!. Www@QuestionHome@Com
