Question: What can I do in the real world after graduating with a history degree!?
Some details: I do not like handling people!. I have terrible social skills!. My greatest concern is not knowing if a job is out there waiting for me!.

My major is currently history but I'm minoring in chemistry in case of a possible fallback from a "history" career in the academia

You should figure out what you are interested in as far as a career, then apply for an internship in that field!. It's a great way to get your foot in the door, plus you can work on your social/job skills without the added pressure of being a full-time employee!.

There's a lot you can do with a history major!. You just need to (however cliché it might sound) be willing to work hard and be creative!. And if that doesn't work, keep studying and apply to grad school!.!.!.Www@QuestionHome@Com

Be a teacher!. no matter what job you get, you're gonna have to develop social skills!.

try waiting tables for a while to get used to talking to strangers all the time!.Www@QuestionHome@Com
