I would like to know more about the time you lived in!. The faces, the politics, the first time you bought into a record and danced to it with gleeful excitement that rushed through your veins!.

Enlighten me, I was born in the early 90s!. I want to experience what you Baby-Boomers had that I can only imagine Www@QuestionHome@Com

I must be really old, because I remember watching "Davy Crockett, King of the Wild Frontier" on Walt Disney! There's a family picture of me (3 or so) with a 'coon-skin hat!. I remember the elections of 1960 and hoping for Kennedy in the White House!.

It was around that time when I first saw an after-school TV show called "Bandstand" (later American Bandstand) that all the big kids watched!. I remember doing the Twist with the teenage girls in the neighborhood, though I was ~6 at the time! One of the singers was a black guy! His name is Chubby Checker and he invented the twist!.

I remember singing along with vocal pop groups like The Christy Minstrels, The Kingston Trio, and Peter, Paul and Mary!. My parents didn't object to them, but then along came!.!.!.The Beatles! The Beatles were SO big SO fast it was amazing! They became household words all over the world after they appeared on Ed Sullivan!. Soon after came the Rolling Stones, The Doors, The Dave Clark Five and all of the 60s pop and rock bands!.Www@QuestionHome@Com

The first two events from the sixties that impressed themselves vividly on my memory were the assassination of President Kennedy, and the broadcasting of the first episode of Dr Who!. These events occured very close together, when I was seven years old, and consequently have always been jumbled together in my mind, so that even now I have a vague feeling that somehow William Hartnell must have had something to do with the Kennedy assassination!.Www@QuestionHome@Com

I can remember when JFK was shot in Dallas , I was in second grade and my school was about four blocks from my house!. I can still see the teachers face when she walked into the room and told us!. They then sent us all home and I also remember that my father came home early from work which he never did!. I also can picture the beatles playing on Ed Sullivan show and the girls yelling!.Www@QuestionHome@Com
