Question: Why did germany invade france in world war 1!?
It's confusing!?! Did France just join in the 1st war or did Germany declare war on them first!?
And what up with this business with Belgium did Germany just march through them and not declare with war on them or did they march through them and declare war!?

Why did Germany even go to war with France and Belgium anyway!?

Gosh History is so confusing! Please help x_xWww@QuestionHome@Com

my specialty is WW2 but nonetheless, Austro-Hungary declared war on Serbia after Franz Ferdinand (Heir to the throne) was assasinated a by Bosnian Serb!. Serbia had an alliance with Russia!. Russia had an alliance with France and UK!. and Austro-Hungary had a alliance with Germany!.

thus it was basically a chain reaction of "some damned stupid thing down in the balkans" as someone once put it, that caused WW1!.

im not sure but i believe Belgium also had an alliance with France!. Belguim was part of the frontline of the western front from the beginning til the end of the war!.Www@QuestionHome@Com
