A very good "What if!.!.!." type of history question!.

Well, it is debatable if McCain or any president could have stopped 9-11 from happening!. For the sake of the answer, lets say it happened!. The US would still have waged war in Afghanistan and won have handled the peace much better then the Bush administration!. We never would have gone to war in Iraq bu8t would be still fighting diplomatically with Iraq over UN inspectors like Clinton and the first Bush did!.

The economy would have had problems but not as severe as today because we would be stronger economically without the war in Iraq to drain us!.

For president in 2008, we would most likely have Obama vs Jeb Bush because GW would not have happened and Jeb would make better TV over GW after 8 yearsWww@QuestionHome@Com

McCain was more universally popular in 2000 than he was now!. Actually, a lot of the negative critiques against him are that he supported Bush regarding the Iraq War!.

Prior to that, a lot of liberals liked him a lot, and he was very respected for working with Democrats a lot!.

I used to be a huge McCain fan!.

Used to!.Www@QuestionHome@Com
