i'm glad you asked that question!. rome was once the greatest empire on the face of this planet!. and because of bad politics it fell!. and right now the US is the greatest country on the face of this earth!. and because our government cannot decide on small matters, have to many "politically correct" factors, and does not know how to keep illigal immigration under control, yes i do think that our beautiful wonderful country is declining, as did the magnificent city of rome!. too many political figures from the past and present don't realize that the mistakes they are about to make are very close to something that has already happened!. like hitler and napoleon (not that i'm rooting for hitler but lets face it he was stupid in the end) we record history simply to not make those same mistakes!.Www@QuestionHome@Com

Take a look at the world markets if you honestly think the U!.S!. is the only country having tough economic times!. Those who enjoy the hard times America is going through fail to see the connection to their own country and the effect America's economy has on the world economy!. Even the countries that are supposedly prospering such as China are really not enjoying the standard of living that we have here in the U!.S!., in China the government may be prospering but the people still live under an oppressive regime!. If the U!.S!. suffers a total economic collapse so will the rest of the world!.Www@QuestionHome@Com

No, ancient Rome fell because of maurading gangs, mental illness within the government, and an inability of its rulers to keep order over a large empire!. The United States is a completely different political and social situation!.Www@QuestionHome@Com
