~In Florida, Andy Jackson treated them a little better than he treated the Seminole!. A little, but not much!.

Of course, when they were helping the rebels and the traitors in the insurrection of 1776 (at least after Spain joined the ruckus in '78), they were tolerated!.

In the Great Melting Pot, outsiders were generally disdained!. In that, at least, we have remained loyal to the ideals of the Founding Fathers!.Www@QuestionHome@Com

So, are you asking about Spanish people as in people who speak Spanish!? or do you mean people who came to the Americas from Spain!? And what do you mean by "the old days"!? You should do a little research on your own before asking such a general question!. also, when you say "Early Americas" are you talking about the time frame when Pangea began to break apart!? What an incredibly uneducated question!.Www@QuestionHome@Com

They started an Empire that lasted nearly three hundred and fifty years!. that answer your question!. Later their descendants were treated in America no better than Native American Indians!.Www@QuestionHome@Com
