Best Answer - Chosen by Asker: If we spot the patterns of ownership in Salem we see that accusers got the property of the so-called witches!. Seems the trials were very good business for the accusers and experts appeared who would advise, for a fee, on how to successfully identify a witch (usually had some money laid away) and how to lobby to get her burnt!. Almost no poor women were burned as witches!. It was women of property without a husband or next of kin who were at most risk!. Www@QuestionHome@Com Not much, economically!. It just re enforced social mores!. The women they killed had no major effect on society!. Www@QuestionHome@Com |
