Question: What do these 3 Excerpt mean on the Declaration of Independence!?
Excerpt 1: "When in the Course of human events it becomes necessary for one people to dissolve the political bands which have connected them with another and assume among the powers of the earth, the separate and equal station to which the Laws of Nature and of Nature's God entitle them, a decent respect to the opinions of mankind requires that they should declare the causes which impel them to the separation!."
Excerpt 2: "We hold these truths to be self-evident that all men are created equal, that they are endowed by their Creator with the certain unalienable Rights, that among these are Life, Liberty, and pursuit of Happiness!."
Excerpt 3: "That to secure these rights, Governments are instituted among Men, deriving their just powers from the consent of the governed!."

Please, I have no idea what these mean (except the second one, but I need more details on that)!. You don't have to answer all of them D: I searched all over the internet to find out what these mean, but I couldn't find the right site!.

1!. The colonies have decided to break away from England and become a separate, independent nation!. They believe that it's only right for them to tell the world why they're taking this action!.

2!. There's no need to prove these assertions about equality and human rights!. It should be obvious to everyone that they are true!.

3!. Governments exist to protect the rights of their citizens!. Government officials get their power from the people who elect them to office, not from any other source!. (Some people believed at that time that kings got their power directly from God and so could not be challenged by their mere mortal subjects!. The Declaration of Independence rejected that theory of government!.)Www@QuestionHome@Com

1!.) Sometimes colonists need to separate from the Mother Country and govern themselves!. when that happens, it is only right that the colonists should spell out the reasons for the separation!.

2!.) Some things are so obvious that they shouldn't require explanation; that everyone!.is created equal!. This equality means that everyone deserves life, liberty and the pursuit of happiness!.
