That's a tough one!. It can cover several break points!.

The best one may be Spain from 1975 to present!. Spain's last dictator, Francisco Franco, died on November 20, 1975!. He left, as his successor Juan Carlos II, the young heir to the Spanish monarchy which Franco promised to restore on his death!. He had groomed Juan Carlos to take his place, but Juan Carlos immediately began dismantling the dictatorship and instituted a democratic, constitutional monarchy!. He even stared down attempted coups by the army to restore Franco's order!.

also, it could be Spain since 1936-1939!. That's when the Spanish Civil War occurred which brought Franco to power!.

There is also Spain since 1815, that's when Napoleon was finally defeated and the Spanish colonies in the New World began to rebel!.

Then there is Spain since 1713, that's when the House of Bourbon (From France) became kings of Spain!. Before this time, Spain was actually two kingdoms (Castile and Aragon) ruled by a single monarch!. After this point, Spain was a united kingdom!.

Then there is Spain since 1492!. That's the year Columbus discovered the New World, but it is also the year the last Muslim rulers were driven from Spain!. Isabella of Castile and Ferdiand of Aragon married in 1469, uniting all the crowns Spain which led to the final victory!. That was the end of the Medieval era!.Www@QuestionHome@Com

I would say that is Spain from after World War II!.Www@QuestionHome@Com
