Question: When did people start to blow their noses!?
I have a cold and have mucus issues!. After sniffling for the 10,000th time, my dad got fed up with me!. So I told him that if Neanderthals didn't blow their noses, why should I!? That got us thinking : when did people really start to blow their noses!? Www@QuestionHome@Com

Probably when they first started getting colds and had something to blow their noses on!. But seriously, setting Neanderthals as your standard means that you aren't going to be able to drive a car, watch television, use your computer, eat with cutlery (or eat cooked food, for that matter) read a book, sleep in a soft bed, etc!.etc!.etc!. Rather than give up all that, I'd choose to blow my nose!. Www@QuestionHome@Com

oh my god, this is truly a great question i have wondered many times also!. While im pretty sure no one would really know im sure the Neanderthals probably, did in fact, blow their noses just not in a pleasant fashion and probably involved wiping their noses and a lot of hand use!. But speaking in modern times it would probably be as far back as "soft paper" and this kind of paper was invented until, i don't know 100 years ago or soooo!.Www@QuestionHome@Com

Probably right back then! It's really annoying if it runs down your face! Seriously though, I read that clogging your nose is the body's way of raising the temperature in your nose and the higher temp kills the germs!. Www@QuestionHome@Com
