Question: Did The Ottoman Empire Ever Have Colonies In The Americas!?
The Ottoman's occupied the Isle of Lundy, in the Bristol channel from 1655-1660, so I presume they used it as a port to set sail from to the Americas!.Www@QuestionHome@Com

According to Answers!.com!.!.!.

"The Ottoman Turks used the Isle of Lundy in the Bristol Channel as a naval base for operations in the Northern Atlantic and appeared in distant lands such as the British Isles, Scandinavia, Iceland, Newfoundland and Virginia between 1625-1660!."

All of the substantial references are in the Turkish language, which I do not speak!.

Thank you!. I learnt something today!.Www@QuestionHome@Com

A lot of sources place the Ottoman presence (not much of an occupation, there's not much to occupy!.!.!. have you ever been to Lundy !?!?!?!?) as being 30 years earlier (1627-1632)!. Lundy certainly doesn't make much sense as a staging post for Mediterranean colony ships on their way to the americas!.!.!. in fact it's rather out of the way!. A few privateers and corsairs maybe!.!.!.!. but colony ships i doubt it, not exactly a great re-provisioning spot is it!.Www@QuestionHome@Com

I don't think so!.
I think it was mainly Spain, France, and England that had American colonies!.
