Question: Why is the Jim Crow system important!?
Best Answer - Chosen by Asker:
The Jim Crow system was used to deny constitutional and legal rights to a significant percentage of the American population!. For decades they were used to prevent African Americans from participating fully in a political and economic system that still demanded they pay into!. Thus, Jim Crow was represented everything that Americans purported to abhor; unequal rights and taxation with no representation!. As long as Jim Crow was the law of the land, the US failed to live up to its own ideals!.Www@QuestionHome@Com
