Not a history teacher, but:

American Side - the British were oppressive, issued way to many taxes without representation in Parliament [you can source a list of taxes], Boston Massacre - Americans killed, Lexington & Concord! = armed conflict

British Side - colonists are British subjects, do not get to negotiate taxes issued by the Govt!., Boston Tea Party ---> colonists dumped tea into Boston Harbor, war = TREASON
