Question: How did the lives of women differ in ancient Sparta and ancient Athens!?

One of the biggest differences is the training!. Spartan girls were trained to be physically fit to raise healthy babies!. They competed in events like running!. This shocked other greek cities though, including Athens!. They married when they were about fifteen to a man twice their age!.

In Athens, the more money you had, the less freedom!. Though this is generally true in most Greek cities!. The wife was often the one to oversee the production of cloth and weaving!. They too, were married at young ages but to men not quite as old!.
