I think Greece affected the history of the world more than any other country!. I will mention only one thing: Greece gave birth to democracy and in this way affected the history of the people, therefore the history of the world!.
The Americans would not get ready for elections these days if it weren't for Greece that gave democracy and freedom of expression to the whole world!.
What is important is the people, then comes everything else!. ''Power of the people, by the people for the people'' was first expressed in Athens in 4th century BC!.
Therefore, in my opinion Greece affected the way people thought and acted in organising a state and in creating world history more than any other country!.Www@QuestionHome@Com

The British Empire affected world history more than anyone else!. They spread modern technology, christian faith and the political ideologies of rights, privileges and freedom for the people (democracy) to new lands!. They conquered and explored America settling it, as well as Australia and South Africa, establishing three totally unique cultures and reaping the economic advantages for hundreds of years!. In 1922 they had the largest land mass compared to any other empire!. The most incredible aspect is that the English were able to keep their newly discovered lands and rule them well, for a couple of centuries anyway, whereas the Roman and Greeks only took temporary control and slowly lost influence!. Their empires were destroyed - but Britain's descendants live on in the modern day countries we know today!.

Their history draws back to the Middle Ages where they were involved in the bitter '100 years wars' with the French and involved themselves in the Crusades!. Every nation always had a weak point and crumbled, yet England was able to colonize places across the other side of the world and not have them be defeated!. Now that is a magnificent empire and exactly why they affected the history of the world more than anyone else!. They made a difference like no other faction could!.

Glad to help!.Www@QuestionHome@Com

In the western world, it was Egypt!. The Greeks rose up because of Egypt!. The Romans rose up out of the Greeks!.

In the Central European region, it was the Aryans!. Not the Nazi Aryans but the ancient people who lived in Southern Russia and the Iranian Plateau!. The Persian Empire was a result of their civilization!. "Iran" means, the land of the Aryans!.

In South Asia, the Indus River valley created the civilization in India!.

In East Asia, the Yangtze River settlements, created the Chinese civilization!.

There isn't a single country or region that dominated the worlds civilization!. It was many ancient civilizations in many regions that created the great civilizations that we know today!.Www@QuestionHome@Com

History of the world!.!.!. hmmm!.!.!.!.

Starting from the known Ancient years!.!.!.

Egypt!.
A great but limited in broadened perspective civilization!.

Greeks took the knowledge, expanded it, added more and more, spread it up to India, added the Persian culture to it and created a basis for what is known today as the Western Civilization!.
Ancient Greeks created the basis for Modern Mathematics, Modern Medicine, Cosmology, Astronomy!.

Romans took the knowledge and made it a defacto standard within their empire!. They created a law system that was tough but fair and introduced to the world at the time the standard of being organized as an empire!.

The Byzantine Empire (Eastern Roman Empire) kept it going for another 1000 years (approx!.)

Arabs benefited from that knowledge and added more!.
The Renaissance era in Western Europe brought everything together in one in the recent centuries and its ideals were based on concepts and knowledge from the Greeks and the Arabs!.

Western Europe developed, empires jumped out of it (British, French) and the strong influence of Spaniards, the Portuguese in many lands of the New World left its mark to day!.

The British Empire held everything together (all the previously acquired knowledge) for a long time making it!.!.!. not the most long living one but the one with the most influence on the planet for a couple of centuries!.

China, Japan were "discovered" in more!.!.!. recent times ( a few centuries ago) introducing more elements to today's world in the way of thinking and the technology of the time!.

The Soviet Union played a big part in human history by introducing to the world a political system that in theory it might as well have been perfect, but in practice it proved inefficient to supply its people with the basics!.

Today, USA, Russia, China and the EU (as an "empire" so to speak) are playing the most important part in various aspects!.
Russia, China and EU have the money!.

Arabian countries today hold the power and loads of money!. Their influence is the most important right now should they decide to stop the flow of petroleum, the planet will suffer big time!.

USA has been suffering for many years now due to the rise of their!.!.!. otherwise partners (Russia, China, EU) and USA is continually saved the last few years with financial injections from EU, Japan and S!. Arabia!.

USA has affected the world by expanding the concept of Capitalism as a financial system making the world rotate around it, either the rest of the world liked it or not since it proved more efficient than other financial (political) systems!.
Yet, USA was established on ideals based on ancient Greek ones, such as freedom, democracy, self ruling, power to the people, equality for all, freedom to think and act (as long as one's freedom does not affect another one's freedom)!.

To bring all these to a conclusion, I have to say that the key element to all these were the ancient Greeks!.
They did not think like Egyptians!. They spread the knowledge!. They did not keep it for them selves!. It was shared!.!.!. and the entire world benefited!.

Although, my truly impartial opinion is that the most influential element was the first Homo Sapiens being that lifted his/her head to the stars and asked the eternal question!.!.!. :

"WHY!.!.!.!?"Www@QuestionHome@Com

Many countries - Britain, USA, China, Egypt, Greece, India!. Perhaps Britain has had the greatest influence, for it once held most of the countires we know today - USA, India, Australia - and gave the world industries and many inventions!. Www@QuestionHome@Com

I believe it was China!. The inventions that were created there have a more historic aspect for the history of the world!. After all, they invented paper, and gun powder, and I could go on and on!. This is just my opinion, but I don't think the US is in the running!Www@QuestionHome@Com

!.Probably Great britain!.From a European viewpoint!.Their disoveries and inventions benefitted mankind!.Last but not least the english language,is the most spoken on earth!.
Even the mighty romans who spoke latin did'nt leave a lingual legacy!.Not even in ItalyWww@QuestionHome@Com

1!.Ancient Egypt
2!.Rome
3!.Greece
4!.Spain
5!.Britain

In that order, just my humble opinion!.Www@QuestionHome@Com

Greece!. Without Greece there would be no Rome, Egypt, law, rule, or government by the people!. The olympics, philosophy - they invented it all!.Www@QuestionHome@Com
