The Article of Confederation were created as a first form of government, and were a weak-social government!. We established the Articles because we wanted to avoid a powerful, authoritarian government, like the British had!. Shays' Rebellion was pretty much a direct cause for the revising of the Articles!. When top political figures met in Philidelphia to revise them, they ended up just throwing them away and starting a Constitution!. I hope this helps a little!. :PWww@QuestionHome@Com
