washington was a known cannibal but in those days they covered it up!. he was about to devour the us treasury but the secretary talked him out of it, telling him he'd put his mug on a five dollar bill!. Washington was cagey, and demanded the hundred!. The secretary balked, offered up the ten spot!. Washington countered with a fifty!. Back against the wall, the secretary gave up the twenty and that's why all twenty dollar bills show colonel george washington on it!.!.!.Www@QuestionHome@Com

George Washington is on the $1 note not the $20 note!.
George Washington died on December 14, 1799!.
The first use George Washington's portrait on $1 notes was on Series 1869 United States Notes!.

(The first $1 notes (called United States Notes or "Legal Tenders") were issued by the Federal Government in 1862 and featured a portrait of Secretary of the Treasury Salmon P!. Chase (1861-1864)!.)

Well, first off Andrew Jackson is the one who's face is on the $20 bill!. And, as far as it going to his head!.!.!.Well, Andrew Jackson was born in 1767 and the US mint wasn't circulated as currency until 1862!. However, I don't think the currency in 1862 was the same as it is today ;)Www@QuestionHome@Com

To the people above me^^^ George Washington WAS displayed on one of the original twenty-dollar bills, issued in 1905!. This was almost 200 years after President Washington's death, however, so he didn't have the chance to be very egotistical about the incident!.Www@QuestionHome@Com
