wattle and daub hut
earth, straw, grasses,reeds,wooden poles,exterior, often whitewashed with ground oyster shells!.
Summer Houses made of above materials were open sided for a nice breeze!. Winter houses were well insulated, European visitors documented them as quite warm!.
Seminole of Florida built elevated structures called Chickees!.
