Question: Three reasons colonists might not have wanted Independence!?
For my HW I need to find that out and provide examples with the reasons!.

It is no where in my book! Just state 3 reasons some colonists might NOT have wanted independence!.

Scared of change!.

Loyal to the king!.

Didn't want to fight a war!.

Small in numbers!.

Liked the steady trade!.

Didn't want to fight the King to mess up connections!.

1- they don't want to deal with their economic, political, social issues that independence ensures
2-they want to be colonialized because that country gives them benefits (money, rights, etc!.)
3!. The country is just better as a colony financially, militariliy and most important socially because no country wants to be under poverty


That's just my guess because as far as I am concerned, all colonies want independence because of taxes, etc!.

1!. Some of them, generally the ones who worked as employees of the English government, might have been out of a job!.

2!. They might have believed that the colonies could not support themselves financially!.

3!. They would no longer have official protection offered by the English military!.Www@QuestionHome@Com

1 they were born under a certain religion and they did not want to change
2 they thought that going to a different country to be come independent would kill them due to lack of money and crops and
3 this is a hard one !.!.!.!.!. they didnt know how to be independant

2!. Safety was ensured with the British as their rulers!.

the brits had a first class, battle hardened army to protect them from outside threats like indians, the french, and the spanish!.

1) would lead to war which upsets the economy!.
2) because they were in with the Brits or had government jobs

loyalty to england- many colonists still loved England and did not want to break ties
