Best Answer - Chosen by Asker:
are you asking for the measurement used by Christ during his time!? He was jewish so I'm assuming he would have used the lunisolar calendar that was the Hebrew calendar!. And the Old Testament was written WAY before Christ was born!. The Hebrew calendar was used to keep track of certain holidays like the Sabbath!.

Today the Gregorian calendar is used and is why we note dates with B!.C and A!.D!. It was an adaptation of the Julian and the Hebrew Calendars!. The Gregorian calendar is more keen to the movement of the earth and moon!. So I would say both since Pope Gregory XIII made the Gregorian calendar official in 1582 and it is used widely by churches, but Jesus most likely would have gone by the Hebrew calendar since he himself was Jewish!.Www@QuestionHome@Com

People in that region would have used the Julian calendar for most of their daily needs, though the jews had their own calender, in which they kept records!. So either or both would have been used!. In China of course they operated under yet another calender, and of course large portions of the world didn't maintain a calender such as we think of it, passing information on by oral tradition!.Www@QuestionHome@Com

The Jewish calendar if you were Jewish!. The Romans counted by which Caesar was on the throne!. Google Jewish calendar and you will see it goes back thousands of years!.Www@QuestionHome@Com
