Hi Bridgett,

This seems like a pretty much straight forward question but it is a bit complicated!.!.!.!.this philosophy is entangled with both these revolutions and plays a huge part throughout and with the formations of the new governments established!.!.!.!.but there were many various contributing factors that brought about both these revolutions!.!.!.not just one main cause or reason!.!.

During this time many of the leaders of these revolutions were students of "the enlightenment" !.!.!.they had studied Greek philosophy and the Roman Republic!.!.!.they were admirers of the philosophers of the day such as Rousseau,Hume,Voltaire !.!.!.!.!.!. and because of this you could say !.!.France's Declaration of the Rights of Man and Citizen and the United States Bill of Rights is a direct result of the enlightenment!.!.!.!.!.!. but the wars themselves !.!.!.no
