Question: Can Anyone Recall This Woman's Name!?
During prohibition there was a woman in New York that opened up illegal, hidden bars!. She opened up so many of them and had so much business that when she'd get caught, she'd have no problem paying the fine and would just go on setting up her bars somewhere else!. I really, really need to know her name! Www@QuestionHome@Com

Are you talking about Texas Guinan!? She only had one speakeasy, the 300 Club!. It wasn't money from multiple operations that kept her in business, it's that the politicians, police, and rich hung out there so she didn't have to worry about being shut down!.

Edit: Alright, she did have multiple clubs, and she did get raided, but that is who you're talking about!.

"Guinan capitalized on her notoriety, earning $700,000 in ten months in 1926, while her clubs were routinely being raided by the police!."

It was more the rich and famous, that the politicians that were her customers!.
