It might be to early to tell, but Im going with the new Super Hadron Collider built by Cern!. Its the biggest of its kind, and in a few months it will be ready to smash hadrons and see what particles come out!. If they are right they will find the particles that complete the standard model!. They also believe they will find a couple other hypothesized particles that can prove string theory, which is a theory for everything!. If they do this we can figure out if time travel is possible, or can we punch holes in space and time and travel all over the universe!. But most importantly string theory allows us to understand the way the universe works on a micro and macro level!. Some scientists call it looking into the mind of god,Www@QuestionHome@Com

I don't think the first few years of the 21st century have seen much in the way of major important inventions!. I can't think of anything that's even mildly life changing!.

The best thing I can come up with is the vaccine against HPV which should significantly reduce the incidence of cervical cancer - very useful, and obviously a great thing, but not really all that exciting!.

Oh, and just by the way!. Google started life apparently in 1998 - says on their website they are 10 years old!.!.!.Www@QuestionHome@Com
